CLEANING SPRAY GUNS UNDER THE AEROSPACE NESHAP

Q:       Does the Aerospace NESHAP allow one to clean a paint spray gun using a combination of two or more of the four listed techniques (e.g., a combination of non-atomized cleaning and disassembled cleaning?)

A:            Although the NESAHP doesn’t specifically answer this question, you are permitted to use any or a combination of the approved methods.  Remember, the goal of the NESHAP is to reduce unnecessary air pollution, not to hinder your painting operations.
