Q: Who should take the Online HazCom / Hazard Communications Standard training class? A: All workers exposed to hazardous chemicals in all industrial sectors; All employers who subject their employees to hazardous chemicals; All employers who have employees that are exposed to hazardous chemicals. PROGRAM / COURSE DESCRIPTION To protect these workers exposed to hazardous chemicals in all industrial sectors, the Federal Government established the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (HazCom) 1910.1200, also known as the “right to know” law. This standard is based on a simple concept: that employees have both a need and a right to know the hazards and the identities of the chemicals they are exposed to when working. This course is designed to assist both employers and employees in learning about work hazards and how to protect themselves by taking our various programs.
